From CM to Panch all must unite in the war against Corona – CM Chouhan

Bhopal : Friday, April 23, 2021

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Corona can be defeated if people, right from the Chief Minister to the Panchs unite in the war against Corona. If we save our villages, we will also be successful in saving the state and the country. The crisis of Corona is big, but our spirits are even bigger. Chief Minister Chouhan was holding a discussion with public representatives of rural areas and rural bodies from his residence through video conferencing.

14 thousand 700 panchayats impose Janata curfew through self-motivation

Chief Minister Chouhan said that this fight against Corona will be fought in a planned manner. Its strategy involves working at two levels. The first is to ensure better treatment for those who have been infected and second, to break the chain of infection. The demon-like Corona gets its power from crowds. So, to break the chain of infection, the possibilities of crowd and congestion has to be reduced to zero. Marriages, weddings that can be postponed, should be avoided in the interest of oneself and the country. Let us pledge not to gather and form crowds. 14 thousand 700 panchayats of the state have imposed Janata curfew through self-motivation. The villagers themselves are implementing Corona curfew. This effort, which was effective in the past, has reduced the positivity rate of many districts.

Every day 9 to 10 thousand people are recovering

Chief Minister Chouhan said that arrangements have been made to provide consultation and precautions for Corona affected persons under Home Isolation at their own houses. Yoga instructors are also being linked with the Health Department. Arrangements have been made in the Covid Care Center for patients who do not have an Isolation System in their homes. Panchs, sarpanchs, ASHA workers, anganwadi workers, panchayat secretaries, employment assistants should conduct door-to-door surveys and provide medical kits to every sick person in those villages where there are more cases with cold, cough, or are prone to Corona. Work in this direction in Chhindwara, Khandwa, Burhanpur has succeeded in controlling the rate of infection. Now 9 to 10 thousand people are recovering daily in the state.

Encourage people to get vaccinated

Chief Minister Chouhan said that every possible care is being taken of rural people, labourers and farmers during the difficult times of Corona. Orders have been issued to provide free ration to them for three months. Rs one thousand are being deposited in the accounts of rural street vendors. Those above 18 will be vaccinated in the state from May 1. More and more people should be encouraged to get vaccinated at the village level.

Self-help groups should keep an eye on home isolation patients

Chief Minister Chouhan said that self-help groups have played an important role. These groups will assist and remain active in generating awareness against Corona infection and in breaking the chain of infection and taking care of those under home isolation. Special attention should be paid to cleanliness and hygiene at the village level. Chief Minister Chouhan said that Corona will be overcome only through cooperation, coordination and harmony.
