Revision of GST rates will boost PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Vocal for Local’ vision and lead the nation towards self-reliance says, Shyam Singh Rana

Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Fisheries, and Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana said that the GST rate revision by the Central Government is a historic decision. The Cabinet Minister was addressing a GST-related programme organised by the Haryana Excise and Taxation Department at Safal, Radaur today.
In his address, the Minister said that this decision will boost industries and bring relief from inflation. The revision of GST rates will strengthen Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative and move the nation towards self-reliance.
Sh. Rana highlighted that with only two GST slabs — 5 percent and 18 percent, inflation will be significantly reduced. The revised rates have come into effect from September 22. The GST reforms will improve living standards, provide a new boost to consumption and development.
Speaking on cleanliness, the Cabinet Minister said that other nations lead in sanitation because their citizens take it seriously. If we want our villages, towns, state and country to excel in cleanliness, we must all step forward and contribute, he added.
The Agriculture Minister also called on everyone to support the Prime Minister’s initiative, ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’. If we want to protect our environment from pollution and avoid severe diseases, we must join this campaign, he said. Highlighting the state’s progress, he added that under Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini’s leadership, Haryana is setting new benchmarks in development and is being followed as a model by other states.
