Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P Dalal said that the average daily water drainage of 858 cusecs from Gurugram city during monsoon and dry season through three drains of about 55 km length coming under Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority area is being done.

The Agriculture Minister gave this information while replying to a question raised during the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha regarding the daily water flow in the Leg-1, 2, and Leg-3 Badshahpur drains under the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority area.

He said that about 36100 hectares of rainwater is discharged from these drains coming under the GMDA area.  Besides this, the average daily sewage discharge is 15.18 cusecs in all the unauthorized colonies and 388 MLD is being discharged from Behrampur and Dhanwapur STPs collectively.

He said that this is a good policy in the interest of farmers, through this efforts are being made to provide water for irrigation to every farmer.
