Multifarious activities marked culmination of ambitious ‘My Town My Pride’ programme.
In this regard, Principal Secretary, Power Development Department and Information, Rohit Kansal, laid foundation stone for development projects besides starting modern slaughter house at Chatabal Kulgam which was a pending demand of the people. He also laid foundation stone for 33KV, Yaripora transmission line which will streamline the power scenario in Yaripora and adjacent areas benefitting about 1 lakh souls. Earlier, the Principal Secretary inaugurated divisional level workshop at grid station which has come up with a cost of Rs 97.59 lakh. Later, Kansal inspected 6.3 MVA receiving station at Chawalgam and asled the concerned to complete all other works on station in time. He also participated in plantation drive at Boys Higher Secondary School Chawalagam and planted saplings there. He talked with the students and asked them to take advantage of every single opportunity to become successful in life.He also had a chat with Auqaf Committee Members and locals who projectet demands and problems seeking an early redressal to the same. Meanwhile, Kansal chaired a meeting with Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, MD KPDCL, Chief Engineer Distribution, Joint Director Planning and other officers to review functioning of PDD in district Kulgam.

Commissioner, Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, Managing Director KPCL, Mohammad Aijaz and other officers besides ULB members. Later, Kansal visited revered Shrine of Hazrat Mir Syed Ali Simnanya (RA) here in main town kulgam and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.
