Chief Minister inaugurates Sovaka Lab in Gurugram

Chandigarh, 6 January 2026

Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that a healthy individual contributes not only to the progress of his family but also to the development of society. Healthy citizens form the foundation of a strong society, a robust economy, and a self-reliant nation. With this vision, the Haryana Government has made modern diagnostic and treatment facilities accessible to the common people. Under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, advanced services such as CT Scan, MRI, haemodialysis, and Cath Lab facilities are being provided across the State.

The Chief Minister was speaking as the Chief Guest at the inauguration ceremony of Sovaka Lab in Gurugram on Tuesday. On the occasion, Chairman of Dr. Lal Path Labs, Padma Shri Brigadier Dr. Arvind Lal, welcomed and felicitated the Chief Minister.

On this occasion, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said the Haryana Government is continuously working to improve the healthcare sector. At present, free dialysis facilities are being provided to kidney patients by the State Government. Apart from this, several other healthcare services are also being made available. He said that diagnostic laboratories play an important role in a person’s life, and timely health check-ups can help prevent many serious diseases.

Gurugram emerging as a Medical and Health Hub – Chief Minister

The Chief Minister said Gurugram is moving rapidly on the path of development. The city is establishing a distinct identity as a Medical and Health Hub, and with the establishment of this laboratory, another milestone has been added towards strengthening health security. He said this lab will further enhance the quality of healthcare services. He also called upon the laboratory management to provide special facilities for the poor and needy.

On the occasion, Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Gurugram MLA Sh. Mukesh Sharma, Pataudi MLA Smt. Bimla Chaudhary, and others were present.
