DC Kargil reviews status of works under PMGSY
KARGIL, APRIL 16, 2020: In order to review the status of the construction of roads in the district under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve convened a meeting of the concerned officers at DC office here today.
Executive Engineer PMGSY Tsering Angchuk, AEEs besides other concerned officers were present during the meeting.
During the course of the meeting, the officers concerned informed the Deputy Commissioner that construction works of 22 link roads of a total span of 97.8 kms are going in different blocks of the district. They also informed the DC about other ongoing and allotted works under PMGSY across the district.
DC Santosh Sukhadeve directed the officers to avoid demolition of houses if not necessary while executing the works. He also enquired about the status of availability labourers for projects.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to ensure completion of all the ongoing and new roads within stipulated time frame while strictly adhering to the specifications, quality and quantity parameters.
While reviewing the scheme wise physical and financial progress and completion of schemes, DC Santosh Sukhadeve directed the officers to complete the projects at the earliest. He also asked officers to work in tandem and coordination with the revenue authorities to settle all the pending land acquisition cases for early completion of the PMGSY roads.
