KARGIL, MAY 05, 2021: On the directions of the District Magistrate/ Deputy Commissioner and CEO,LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Tsering Motup visited the institutional quarantine facilities been set up by the District Administration at Government Polytechnic Kurbathang and Sports Authority of India (SAI) Youth Hostel near Degree College Kargil here today.
Nodal Officer Quarantine Centres and Reader to Deputy Commissioner Kargil Naib Tehsildar Muhammad Hassan, Principal Government Polytechnic Nissar Hussain, In Charge SAI Hostel Muhammad Mustafa besides other concerned officers accompanied the ADC during the visit.
During the course of the visit the ADC took stock of various facilities been set up at the institutional quarantine centers including boarding, lodging and other necessary arrangements. He expressed satisfaction with the overall arrangements and appreciated the concerned officers for having put in place requisite arrangements in a short span of time.
ADC Tsering Motup instructed the officers concerned to ensure the provision of all required facilities for the inmates of the quarantine centers while also making sure that all SOPs and protocols pertaining to COVID-19 are followed in letter and spirit.
The ADC also directed the officers concerned not to allow the inmates especially students to leave the quarantine centers unless their COVID-19 tests do not come negative. He also stressed that inmates whose tests come positive should be referred for strict isolation while those whose tests come negative should also be advised to follow the Covid Appropriate Behaviors in letter and spirit.
