The Centre for Distance and Online Education at Panjab University Chandigarh organized a significant event aimed at introducing undergraduate students to various job opportunities and the activities of the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise. This event, organized by the Guidance and Placement Cell, was graced by the presence of Ms. Sukhaman Bath, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, and Ms Nabiha Khan career counselor from District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise, Mohali.
Ms. Nabiha Khan introduced students to diverse career options in both the government and private sectors after completing their 12th-grade education. She also highlighted a dedicated job search application. Ms. Sukhaman Bath provided valuable insights into income generation and financial support opportunities for start-ups. The event, attended by prominent faculty members including Prof. Harsh Gandhar, Director CDOE, Prof. Madhurima Verma, Chairman PUCASH, and Prof. Sangeeta Malhotra, Convenor, Guidacne and Placement Cell garnered appreciation from students for its relevance in guiding their career choices. Around 100 students participated in the event.
This event was a shining example of the CDOE’s commitment to not only impart knowledge but also empower students with the skills and insights needed to succeed in the competitive job market. It showcased the synergy between academia and real-world practicality, a combination that is increasingly crucial in today’s educational landscape.
