Dr. Rajeev Bhagat, MLA from Bishnah Assembly constituency, held a public darbar at the Bharatiya Janata Party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The public darbar served as a vital platform for residents to voice their civic and infrastructural concerns directly before their elected representative.
Among other deputations, a deputation from Arjun Vihar requested the renovation of a lane and drain. A deputation from Khairi Bishnah requested for the release of pending wages of an unwell daily wager from PHE department. A deputation from Last Morh Gandhi Nagar, raised demand for the street lights. A deputation from village Treva requested for the approval of e-buses route from Jammu to Treva via Bari Brahmana. A deputation from Bishnah requested for laying of PHE pipes in Ward no 6. A deputation from Nanak Nagar requested for the street lights. A deputation from Gandhi Nagar raised a request to retain the Gole Market Park instead of transforming it into a parking lot. Deputations from Shastri Nagar, and Nanak Nagar raised requests for the construction of lanes and drains.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rajeev Bhagat stressed that the public darbar is part of BJP’s continuous effort to stay connected with the people and address their issues in a time-bound manner. He assured the public that all the genuine grievances raised in the Darbar would be taken up with the concerned departments for swift resolution. Public participation is key to effective governance, and we are committed to making the system more responsive, he added.
The proceedings of the event were coordinated by Er. T.K. Sharma, Co-convenor of the BJP Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, ensuring smooth interaction between citizens and party leadership.
