Haryana Cabinet approved Haryana Prosecution Department Ministerial (Group-B) Service (Amendment) Rules, 2020
Chandigarh, April 22 – Haryana Cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Manohar Lal here today approved Haryana Prosecution Department Ministerial (Group-B) Service (Amendment) Rules, 2020.
As per rules of Haryana Prosecution Department Ministerial (Group-B) Service Rules, 1997, there was a provision to fill up the post of Superintendent (1) by promotion amongst Deputy Superintendent/ Personal Assistant; or (ii) by transfer or deputation of an officer/official already in the service of any State Government or the Government of India.
The academic qualification and experience if any, for appointment by transfer/deputation for the post of Superintendent is three years experience as Deputy Superintendent or Personal Assistant in a Department of Haryana government or Central Government.
The academic qualification and experience if any, for appointment by promotion for the post of Superintendent is Two years experience as Deputy Superintendent or Personal Assistant should have experience of two years as Assistant or by sharing the work of an Assistant.
Two posts of Superintendent, one post of Deputy Superintendent and one post of Personal Assistant are sanctioned at the Headquarter of Prosecution, Department Haryana, Panchkula. That in case, to fill up the post of Superintendent by way of promotion, if any eligible Deputy Superintendent/Personal Assistant is not available, then it would be very difficult to fill up the post of Superintendent from the feeder posts. Therefore, it would be appropriate to amend the above said rule by inserting the word Assistant having ten years experience for the promotion to the post of Superintendent in the interest of the employees as well as smooth and proper functioning of department.
Further, the Appendix-A regarding new pay scales as per 7th pay commission of the post of Administrative Officer and Superintendent, Appendix-B regarding proposed amendment in promotional qualification and Appendix-C regarding authority to empower to impose penalty have also been changed accordingly.
Hence, the Haryana Prosecution Department Ministerial (Group-B) Service (Amendment) Rules, 2020 are approved by amending the Haryana Prosecution Department Ministerial (Group-B) Service Rules, 1997.
