The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm, patriotic zeal, and a strong commitment to the nation across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
Marking the historic occasion, BJP leaders and party workers unfurled the National Flag at prominent localities, chowks, party offices, and key public places. The celebrations were accompanied by spirited patriotic slogans, the singing of national songs, and the distribution of sweets, reflecting the collective pride and joy of the occasion.
At the BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, the National Flag was unfurled by BJP J&K President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma, CA, along with General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, General Secretaries Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan, MLA Vikram Randhawa, District President Naresh Singh Jasrotia, and other senior party leaders.
Similarly, at the BJP Office, Kachi Chawni, Jammu, MP Ghulam Ali Khatana, MLA Arvind Gupta, District President Rajesh Gupta, and senior BJP leaders unfurled the National Flag.
At City Chowk, Jammu, the tricolour was unfurled by MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, MLA Yudhvir Sethi, along with other party leaders.
Extending greetings to the people of the nation on Republic Day, Sat Sharma said that India stands tall as the world’s largest and most vibrant democracy, guided by the visionary framework of the Indian Constitution. He emphasized that the Constitution not only guarantees civil rights but also instills a sense of duty, discipline, and national responsibility among citizens. He urged everyone to reaffirm their commitment to democratic values and actively contribute towards building a strong, self-reliant, and developed India.
Recalling the legacy of India’s freedom fighters and national heroes, Sat Sharma said that the sacrifices of Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, and countless others continue to inspire the nation. He stressed the need to honour their sacrifices by safeguarding India’s unity, sovereignty, cultural heritage, and national pride.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Koul said that the Bharatiya Janata Party celebrates Republic Day with a deep sense of responsibility and devotion to the nation. He called upon citizens to celebrate the day by reaffirming faith in the constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality, and national unity. He further emphasized the importance of nurturing patriotism among the younger generation so that they grow up as responsible, disciplined, and nation-first citizens.
