Tuberculosis,\u00a0commonly known as TB, is a disease incited by germs that spread from person to person through air particles. TB usually affects the lungs, but in severe cases, there are possibilities that it can affect other parts such as the brain, kidneys etc. A person can succumb to TB if they do not get prior treatment for it.<\/p>\n

Symptoms: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Mild symptoms of the TB disease include: instant loss of weight, illness or fever, or sweating at night. The symptoms of TB disease, when it goes severe and start affecting the lungs are: cough, chest pain, or blood in cough.<\/p>\n

Medical experts say that symptoms of TB disease vary from person to person.<\/p>\n

Causes: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Tuberculosis gets spread through the air when a person with TB disease of the lungs or throat, coughs, sneezes or speaks in public. Duration of germs to revolve in the environment is long, depending on the environment, so if someone breathes in the air containing these germs can get infected; this is called latent TB infection which is the very first stage of tuberculosis.<\/p>\n

If you have latent TB, the first stage of tuberculosis, your doctor will prescribe you medication to kill the bacteria so the infection doesn\u2019t become active. To treat the latent Tb a patient has to take the medications for up to 9 months.<\/p>\n

Another stage of tuberculosis is active TB which is serious and riskier. If you see any signs of active TB, call your doctor immediately. A combination of medicines is needed to treat active TB. To treat this sufferer has to take prescriptions for 12 months.<\/p>\n

A patient suffering from below mentioned infection faces difficulty in battling tuberculosis, as the immune system gets weaker.<\/p>\n
