Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Friday directed the officers to ensure timely action on the feedback given by Guardians of Governance (GoGs).<\/p>\n

Chairing a meeting here today to review the implementation of this flagship scheme of Punjab Government, the Deputy Commissioner said that this scheme has been acting as a catalyst in providing transparent and accountable governance to people.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Commissioner said that GoGs are the real eyes and ears of the state government as they are providing valuable information for streamlining the working of the district administration and state government.<\/p>\n

He said that the valuable information provided by the GoGs has been helping a lot in making the administration responsive and accountable. Sharma said that as soon as any issue is being flagged by the GoGs, the administrative departments must ensure time bound action on these complaints so that people could be facilitated.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Commissioner asked the departments of Governance Reforms (Sewa -Kendras), agriculture, social justice, NRI affairs, PWD, Social Security, water supply Revenue, Rural development and Panchayat to dispose of the issues pertaining to their department at the earliest.<\/p>\n

He asked these departments to submit the Action Taken Report by the issues flagged by the GoGs at the earliest. Sharma categorically said that any sort of callousness in this work is unwarranted and undesirable.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
