A Cyclothon Event from Panjab University Campus to Sukhna Lake was organised by NSS, Panjab University in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, PU to raise awareness on National Anti-pollution Day among students and general public.<\/p>\n

The cycle rally was flagged off by Prof. S.K. Tomar, Dean Students Welfare on 5th December 2021 at 7 am.\u00a0 The event was organized by the NSS units headed by Dr. Rohit Kumar Sharma and Dr. Gaurav Gaur under the guidance of Prof. Ashwani Kaul, Programme Coordinator, NSS, PU.<\/p>\n

The NSS volunteers performed various cultural events including plays, songs and poems at Sukhna Lake to raise awareness about the pollution related issues. The cylothon raised awareness among more than hundred people on Sunday morning at Sukhna Lake about the severe effects of pollution on the environment and were given suggestions which they can include in their daily life to make a big change. The general public was made aware of the usage of cycling in preventing automobile led\u00a0 pollution as well positive effects on health.<\/p>\n
