The Shiromani Akali Dal said here today that the Aam Admi Party has clearly invited automatic disqualification and de-cognition\u00a0 by the \u00a0Election Commission of India (ECI) \u201cas it has been caught cheating and defrauding not only the Commission itself but even the \u00a0three corer people of Punjab WIT Kejrival\u2019s appeal to Akali voters.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c The Aam Admi Party and all its candidates have been exposed not just to disqualification under Clause 123 of the People\u2019s Representation Act ( PRA) but also being barred from taking part in electoral process for six years as the proof of their indulgence in \u201ccorrupt electoral malpractices\u201d has been provided by none other than the ECI itself. The ECI has directed AAP to immediately stop airing Kejrival\u2019s appeal to Akali voters .The ECI has clearly said that Mr Arvind Kejrival kept them in the dark by hiding the actual script of his appeal from it and instead giving it\u00a0 a text which is different from the appeal issued by him to Akali supporters. This is an incredibly disgraceful act coming from a person holding the exalted office of \u00a0the Chef Minister of a state,\u201d said Mr Harcharan Bains , Principal Advisor to the SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal,<\/p>\n

Addressing media persons at the party headquarters here, Mr Bains said that this has \u201c conclusively proved our repeated charge that Kejrival is a master of deception and\u00a0 defraud and can stoop to any depths in \u00a0lying wantonly on every issue. It is perhaps the most shocking act of fraud by anyone not only with the ECI but also with the people of Punjab. Fortunately for people of Punjab, they will now discover in time that Kejrival practices the art of \u00a0jugglery and hypocrisy with the people. The proof has been provided by the ECI itself,\u201d<\/p>\n

Talking about the legal follow up of the case, Mr Bains said t, \u201cWe would first expect the ECI to automatically de-recognize AAP as a political party and disqualify all their candidates since the proof of the crime has been provided by the Commission itself. But if the Commission for some reason doesn\u2019t act , then we will take the EC order to the Court and ask for disqualification of all AAP candidates and decognsition of their party and bar \u00a0them from taking part in any electoral process for six years under clause 123 of the People\u2019s Representation Act. Mr Kejrival himself faces imprisonment for two years for this act of fraud on the ECI and the people,\u201d said the Akali ideologue.<\/p>\n

Mr Bains said that there are several \u00a0precedents of such legal action against parties and candidates, the most prominent being the case of Mrs Indira Gandhi who whose election was set aside under the same provision of the PRA in 1974. She too was barred from taking part in election for six years. Since she was the Prime Minister and had majority in the parliament, she had imposed Emergency in the country as result of her disqualification. Fortunately, Kejrival is in no position to inflict that misery on the people, but if he had the power, ho would do exactly what Mrs Gandhi had done then.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Bains also wanted to know if the daughter of Mr Kejrival who came to campaign in Punjab is the same child by whom the AAP convener had twice sworn on false oath that he would not enter politics nor \u00a0have any trucks with Congress to form a government. He went back both the oaths. \u201cWe just want Punjabis to know that this man can stoop to telling lies even risking the lives of his own children in his greed for power.\u201d<\/p>\n
