When<\/span> we talk about the best cricketers of India, <\/span>Chetan<\/span>Pratap<\/span> Singh <\/span>Chauhan<\/span> is definitely mentioned at the top. The bold cricketer played 40 Test Matches for India. During his lifetime he triumphed in several matches, winning trophies like <\/span>Ranji<\/span> Trophy. Unfortunately, the player left this world after suffering complications due to Covid-19 on 16<\/span>th<\/span>August,<\/span> 2020 at the age of 73.<\/span>

After his demise, several North Zone cricketers <\/span>has<\/span> mentioned his bravery. They went on to mention that the <\/span>Duleep<\/span> Trophy in <\/span>Pune<\/span> ended on 30<\/span>th<\/span>October<\/span>, 1984<\/span>. Soon angry mob gathered all over India and turned against the Sikhs. <\/span>
\n\u201cAt several stations mobs entered compartments and looked for Sikhs onboard. We had 3 Sikh friends with us- <\/span>Navjot<\/span> Singh <\/span>Sidhu<\/span>, <\/span>Rajinder<\/span> Ghai<\/span> and <\/span>Yograj<\/span> Singh. I remember how <\/span>Chetan<\/span> Chauhan<\/span> and <\/span>Yashpal<\/span> Sharma convinced the mob with utter difficulty that they were <\/span>Indian Cricketers.\u201d recalled <\/span>Yograj<\/span> Singh.<\/span>
\nHe went on to add how the mob argued with <\/span>Chetan<\/span>Chauhan<\/span> that they merely wanted the Sikhs and no harm would come to others. In that situation, <\/span>Chetan<\/span> stood firm and said- \u201cThey are my brothers and you can\u2019t touch them.\u201d<\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Gursharan<\/span> Singh went on to explain how he was in a different compartment with <\/span>Rajinder<\/span> Hans. \u201cIt gave me chills when I came to know what <\/span>my fellow teammates had<\/span> faced. <\/span>Chetan<\/span> Chauhan<\/span> assured me that he wouldn\u2019t let any harm come to me.\u201d- <\/span>he<\/span> added.<\/span>
