Anal cancer is a rare type of cancer that develops in the canal between the teeth. The anal canal is a little tube that runs from the end of your rectum to the outside of your body, where faeces exits.<\/p>\n

Rectal haemorrhage and anal pain are signs and symptoms of anal cancer.<\/div>\n

Chemotherapy and radiation are used to treat the majority of persons with anal cancer. While combining anal cancer therapies increases the likelihood of a cure, it also raises the risk of side effects.<\/div>\n

\u2022 Bleeding from the anus or rectum \u2022 Pain in the anus area are all signs and symptoms of anal cancer.<\/div>\n
\u2022 A growth or mass in the anal canal<\/div>\n
\u2022 Itching in the anal region<\/div>\n

Causes<\/strong>:<\/div>\n
Anal cancer is caused by a genetic mutation that causes normal, healthy cells to become aberrant. Healthy cells develop and replicate at a predetermined rate before dying at a predetermined period. Abnormal cells reproduce and expand uncontrollably and do not perish.<\/div>\n

The aberrant cells that are accumulating form a bulk (tumor). Cancer cells infiltrate adjacent tissues and can break out from a primary tumour to spread to other parts of the body (metastasize).<\/div>\n

Anal cancer is linked to the human papillomavirus, a sexually transmitted infection (HPV). In the vast majority of anal malignancies, HPV is found. Anal malignancies are thought to be caused primarily by the human papillomavirus (HPV).<\/div>\n

Factors that are at risk:\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n

Anal cancer has been linked to a number of conditions, including: \u2022 Growing older. Anal cancer is most common in adults over the age of 50.<\/div>\n

\u2022 A large number of sexual partners Anal cancer is more common in people who have had many sexual partners throughout their lives.<\/div>\n

\u2022 Sexual analgesia. Anal cancer is more likely in people who engage in receptive anal intercourse.<\/div>\n

\u2022 Smoking. Cigarette smoking may raise your risk of developing anal cancer.<\/div>\n

\u2022 A family history of cancer. Anal cancer is more likely in people who have had cervical, vulvar, or vaginal cancer.<\/div>\n

Human papillomavirus (HPV) (HPV). HPV infection raises your chances of getting a variety of diseases, including anal cancer and cervical cancer. The human papillomavirus (HPV) is a sexually transmitted illness that can lead to genital warts.<\/div>\n

\u2022 Immune-suppressing medications or disorders. Immunosuppressive medicines, such as those used to suppress the immune system and those who have had organ transplants, may increase the risk of anal cancer. The HIV virus, which causes AIDS, weakens the immune system and raises the risk of anal cancer.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
