If your child is in school, you should inquire if any of the same actions have been observed by the teachers.<\/p>\n<p>Knowing what to do in the event of a seizure and ensuring that your child receives the best possible treatment are two of the most critical things you can do for your child. There are a variety of epilepsy therapies available.<\/p>\n<p>Typically, doctors advise that children take medicine first. They frequently have to test a few different antiepileptic (seizure-prevention) medicines before finding the one that works best for them. Other therapies they might attempt include surgery, the ketogenic diet, or vagus nerve stimulation if medicine doesn&#8217;t work or produces severe negative effects (VNS).
