Cancer has been rising in India rapidly. With technological advancement, people rely upon electronics and love materialistic lives. A large population of our country is tobacco driven which raises the cases of various forms of cancer such as lung and oral cancers.<\/p>\n

If we talk about oral hygiene, it\u2019s the topmost priority as a person looks healthy if he or she has good oral health and<\/p>\n

In order to keep a healthy self, one must perform self-check tests frequently, ideally once a month, to watch out for symptoms that might be an indicator of oral cancer or any other disease.<\/p>\n

Oral cancer refers to cancer that develops in the oral cavity, which includes the lips, base of the tongue, cheeks, floor of the mouth, hard and soft palates, sinuses, tonsils, vallecula, and pharynx (throat).<\/p>\n

It is a form of cancer that falls underneath the heading of head and neck malignancies, and if it is discovered early, then the recovery rate is higher.<\/p>\n

But, people ignore the symptoms, and unfortunately, the disease enters its severe stage where the treatment is hard.<\/p>\n

Causes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oral cancer risk is increased by unhealthy behaviors such as extensive alcohol use and heavy tobacco usage in the form of cigarettes, pipes, or chewing tobacco. The chances rise when a person has a weakened immune system or when their face and, consequently, their lips, are exposed to the sun. Additionally, the human papillomavirus (HPV), a sexually transmitted infection, is a recognized risk factor for oropharyngeal malignancies.<\/p>\n
