Incidents of stubble burning in the state should be zero, pollution should be reduced in the state- J.P Dalal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chandigarh, November 5<\/strong> \u2013 Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P Dalal said that the state government is planning to buy paddy straw at Minimum Support Price for proper management of stubble in the state.\u00a0\u00a0For this a committee of officers has been constituted.\u00a0\u00a0He said that the government’s main objective is to chalkout the plans regarding latest technology, innovation research, advance farm machinery and fertilizers at low price to the farmers of the state.<\/p>\n

The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister was addressing a seminar organized at the Agriculture and Food Technology Fair organized in Sector 17 Parade Ground, Chandigarh.\u00a0\u00a0He visited the Haryana Pavilion in the fair and interacted with the Farmer Producer Groups in the stalls set up for the farmers.\u00a0\u00a0On this occasion, 17 MoUs were also signed with 13 companies of Farmer Produce Groups.\u00a0\u00a0Dr. Sumita Misra, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Hardeep Singh, Director General of Agriculture Department and Dr. Arjun Singh Saini, Director General, Horticulture Department, and many senior officers were also present.<\/p>\n

The Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister said that Haryana Government has been taking advance initiatives for better stubble management. Taking these initiatives forward, agricultural equipment like 80,000 super seeders have been provided to the farmers.\u00a0\u00a0Apart from promoting super seeder agricultural equipment, emphasis is also being laid on the use of stubble in industries.\u00a0\u00a0Farmers are also being given an incentive of Rs. 1000 per acre so that they do not burn the stubble in the fields.\u00a0\u00a0He said that it is the venture of the state government that the incidents of stubble burning should be zero in the state and pollution in NCR should also be reduced and farmers should also become prosperous and happy.\u00a0\u00a0For this, the funds available for the farmers welfare are being used in the interest of the farmers only.<\/p>\n

The Agriculture Minister said that Haryana is an agricultural state in which maximum facilities are being provided to the farmers.\u00a0\u00a0Farmers are generating the stock of food for the country.\u00a0\u00a0After the Green Revolution, the farmers of Haryana are moving towards the Blue Revolution.\u00a0\u00a0In the state, 1000 farmers have adopted the business of prawn fish production, which is producing an income of worth Rs. 2500 crores in areas of saline water.\u00a0\u00a0Women are being given 60 percent subsidy for fish production.\u00a0\u00a0Apart from this, horticulture and vegetable production will also make farmers self-reliant. He said that the dream of the Prime Minister, Sh.Narendra Modi, would also come true if the farmers would be financially\u00a0\u00a0stable in the country.<\/p>\n

Sh. Dalal said that the State Government is developing an international level Kisan Mandi in about 550 acres in Sonipat.\u00a0\u00a0All types of modern facilities will be made available to the farmers in this market.\u00a0\u00a0Apart from this, Farmer Producer Groups are being formed.\u00a0\u00a0This year a target has been set to form 1000 Farmer Producer Groups, out of which 700 Farmer Producer Groups have been formed.\u00a0\u00a0These groups have successfully given a business of Rs 13.50 crore.\u00a0\u00a0The benefits are directly reaching the farmers through the clusters.\u00a0\u00a0Better packaging and grading-wise marketing among farmer producer groups will benefit every farmer associated with it.<\/p>\n

The Agriculture Minister said that cold chain technology is being adopted for the farmers.\u00a0\u00a0The latest technology based infrastructure will be installed in these cold chains. Kisan Exhibitions are also being organized in the districts for the farmers.<\/p>\n
