{"id":169283,"date":"2022-12-26T19:09:11","date_gmt":"2022-12-26T13:39:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsmakhani.com\/?p=169283"},"modified":"2022-12-26T19:09:11","modified_gmt":"2022-12-26T13:39:11","slug":"dc-kargil-chairs-meeting-regarding-empowerment-of-specially-abled-persons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsnarad.com\/hi\/dc-kargil-chairs-meeting-regarding-empowerment-of-specially-abled-persons\/","title":{"rendered":"DC Kargil chairs meeting regarding empowerment of specially-abled persons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"qtranxs-available-languages-message qtranxs-available-languages-message-hi\">\u0915\u094d\u0937\u092e\u093e \u0915\u0930\u0947\u0902, \u092f\u0939 \u0938\u092e\u093e\u091a\u093e\u0930 \u0906\u092a\u0915\u0947 \u0905\u0928\u0941\u0930\u094b\u0927 \u0915\u0940 \u092d\u093e\u0937\u093e \u092e\u0947\u0902 \u0909\u092a\u0932\u092c\u094d\u0927 \u0928\u0939\u0940\u0902 \u0939\u0948\u0964 <a href=\"https:\/\/newsmakhani.com\/en\/\">\u0915\u0943\u092a\u092f\u093e \u092f\u0939\u093e\u0901 \u0926\u0947\u0916\u0947\u0902\u0964<\/a><\/p><p><\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Kargil, Dec 26, 2022:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Deputy Commissioner\/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today chaired a meeting regarding the empowerment of specially-abled persons, standards of all public buildings, status of implementation of provisions of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and Aadhaar status in Kargil.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">CPO Kargil, ADC Kargil, CMO Kargil, SE PHE\/I&amp;FC, SE PW(R&amp;B), Assistant Director Tourism, DPO Kargil, besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">DC emphasized that all upcoming government buildings shall meet the accessibility standards as per the \u2018Harmonised Guidelines and Space Standards for Barrier-Free Built Environment for Persons with Disabilities and Elderly Persons\u2019 issued by the Government of India, in March 2016.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">He also directed that the existing government buildings should be retrofitted with a ramp facility at the entrance and an accessible toilet should be included to meet the basic accessibility standards.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">DC Kargil directed all the concerned to ensure accessibility, especially in schools and said that a thorough review must be done regarding such requirements in the schools.\u00a0 It was put forth during the meeting that an accessible model school may be developed to be replicated further.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">He also reviewed the coverage of Unique Disability for the Health Department for 100 percent UDID coverage for all specially-abled persons within the next month through special camps.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">DC Santosh also said that a District Disability Rehabilitation Center should be established at Old Hospital and New District Hospital Kargil for providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to specially-abled persons at the grassroots level.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The DC said the health department must link Health Card and Unique ID for Persons with Disabilities so that the specially-abled persons take benefit of all health services in a better way.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">DC Santosh directed DPO Kargil and the representative of MC Kargil to ensure one toilet for specially-abled persons to be ready by January 25, 2023.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The DC further directed the concerned officers to formulate an action plan for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities 2022-27.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">He also directed the officers to chalk out a detailed Action Plan by January 25 to achieve the desired outcome.
