Chairman\/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohammad Jaffer Akhoon today attended the concluding ceremony of Kargil Hero\u2019s Cup Cricket Tournament-2023 organized by the Humas Upliftment Organization Ladakh at Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium, Biamathang.<\/div>\n

Deputy Commissioner\/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balsaheb Suse, Councillor Bhimbhat, Abdul Wahid, Councillor Chuliskambo, Councillor Chiktan constituency, Kacho Liyaqat Khan, members of civil society, players, and sports enthusiasts were present.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
During the finals, Friends Club Chiktan won over Skarchan Latoo by two wickets and lifted the trophy.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The CEC congratulated the winner and runners-up teams for displaying remarkable sportsman spirit and their splendid performance in the final match and making it memorable.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He congratulated the organizers for holding the mega tournament. The CEC said that winning and losing are part of the game adding maintaining the sports spirit is the major purpose.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Dr Jaffer added that these sports events are more than just games as it keeps people fit and away from negative influences.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Pertaining to the improvement of infrastructure and other logistics of the stadium, CEC Jaffer assured to address the matter of lavatory and dressing rooms for the players.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He said that sports infrastructure will be the priority aim of LAHDC Kargil to promote sports infrastructure across the district.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Furthermore, he added that the Hill Council in coordination with District Administration Kargil will resolve all the matter pertinent to sports infrastructure and promotion.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Deputy Commissioner Kargil congratulated the winner and runner-up teams and appreciated the efforts of sports persons and organizers and assured all possible support from district administration for further improving the playground.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Pertinently, 90 teams from different parts of the district participated in the tournament.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The winning team was rewarded with a trophy and cash prize of Rs 1,50,000 while the runners-up team were given a trophy and cash prize of Rs 1,00,000.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Mussa Mohd from Friends Chiktan was declared man of the match for his phenomenal display of cricketing skills throughout the tournament. Meanwhile, the dignitaries also felicitated the winner and runners-up teams with medals.<\/div>\n
