Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today chaired a meeting to discuss land compensation and other\u00a0 issues of kargil Zanskar Highway,\u00a0 NH – 301 today<\/div>\n
at the council hall secretariat.<\/div>\n

The meeting was attended by Executive Councilor Tourism Kacho Mohammad Feroz, Executive Councilor Aga\u00a0 Syed Mujtaba Mosavi, Executive Councilor RDD Phunsok Tashi, Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC kargil Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, Councilor Baroo, Trespone,GM pore, Saliskot, Lankarchey, Taisuru, and parkachick,\u00a0 SDM sankoo, Tehsildar Sankoo, Taisuru,\u00a0 various concerned departments, representatives of NHIDCL besides other concerned officials.<\/div>\n

The concerned officials from NHIDCL gave a detailed presentation about work progress achieved and compensation disbursed among the beneficiaries in various packages from zone 1 to 8 at kargil Zanskar National Highway NH 301.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
They further informed that compensation for properties including acquisition of trees, land, houses private properties has been done in various packages and is under disbursing phase, further in\u00a0 Zanskar sub-division 90 per cent of the compensation money has been\u00a0 disbursed. Meanwhile in other packages the disbursing process is undergoing simultenuously.<\/div>\n

During the meeting, public representatives raised\u00a0 and discussed various issues with NHIDCL.<\/div>\n

The CEC directed SDM sankoo and Tehsildar sankoo, Taisuru and Zanskar to pace up the process of land compesation and completion of other related works by March 2024 in order to achieve hassle free completion of the National Highway within the revised timelines.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
CEC Dr. Jaffer directed GM NHIDCL to personally monitor and supervise the works regularly redress the issues of the public on ground at earliest possibility, also directed to work in close coordination with the local engineers for early completion of the works..<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The CEC asked DC kargil and DFO to have a meeting immediately and revise the rates of Popular trees so that people can get genuine compensation of their trees.<\/div>\n

Dr Jaffer directed NHIDCL to avoid unnecessary damage to\u00a0 public property and advised to construct breast walls at required places\u00a0 only. He also directed to repair necessary khuls which are required for the irrigation purposes adding that public assets should not get affected during the next irrigation session.<\/div>\n

Regarding the CSR works of NHIDCL, the\u00a0 CEC\u00a0 said after thorough discussion on the proposals and meeting with DC Kargil, approved proposals will be submitted to NHIDCL for CSR works.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
