The new confirmed cases in the last 24 hours have fallen under 40,000. The daily new cases stand at\u00a0<strong>38,310\u00a0<\/strong>after 15 weeks (105 days). The new added cases were\u00a0<strong>37,724\u00a0<\/strong>on 22<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0July, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>With a high number of COVID patients recovering every day and the sustained fall in the mortality rate, India\u2019s steady trend of registering dipping active cases continues.<\/p>\n<p>In another achievement, the active cases have\u00a0drastically declined below 5.5\u00a0lakh. The total positive cases of the country are\u00a0<strong>5,41,405\u00a0<\/strong>and now comprise merely\u00a0<strong>6.55%\u00a0<\/strong>of the total cases<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These encouraging outcomes are the result of\u00a0a\u00a0collaborative, focussed and effective\u00a0implementation\u00a0by State\/UT governments under the Centre&#8217;s strategy of comprehensive and\u00a0consistently\u00a0high countrywide testing, prompt and effective surveillance and tracking, quick hospitalization and effective adherence of the Standard Treatment Protocol issued by the Union Government. This success also owes to the selfless service and dedication of doctors, paramedics, frontline workers and all other COVID-19 warriors across all parts of the country.<\/p>\n<p>The slide in the active cases in supplemented by an exponential rise in the recoveries. The total recovered cases have crossed 76 lakhs (<strong>76,03,121).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The gap between active cases and recovered cases has\u00a0<strong>crossed 70 lakh<\/strong>\u00a0today and stands at\u00a0<strong>70,61,716<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>58,323 patients\u00a0<\/strong>have recovered and discharged in the last 24 hours.\u00a0The national Recovery Rate has further escalated to\u00a0<strong>91.96%.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>80%<\/strong>\u00a0of the new recovered cases are observed to be concentrated in 10 States\/UTs .<\/p>\n<p>Maharashtra is leading with more than 10,000 single day recoveries followed by Karnataka with more than 8,000 recoveries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>74%\u00a0<\/strong>of the new confirmed cases are from 10 States and UTs.<\/p>\n<p>Kerala, Delhi and Maharashtra have contributed the maximum to the new cases with more than 4,000 cases. West Bengal follows with more than 3,000 new cases.<\/p>\n<p><strong>490\u00a0<\/strong>case fatalities have been reported in the past 24 hours. Of these,\u00a0<strong>nearly 80%<\/strong>\u00a0are concentrated in ten States\/UTs.
