He said that in the 2019-Lok Sbha polls, the district had recorded the voter turnout of 62.78 percent of which 843 polling booths were below 60 and 19 booths witnessed below 40 percent. He said that booth awareness groups comprising supervisors, BLOs and Sveep officers would carry out mass sensitization drive to encourage people to vote so that all previous records could be broken in the upcoming elections.<\/p>\n<p>He said that already 183 different events were organized in the district under SVEEP program Sareen said that voters were the backbone of every democratic system and every effort was being made to enhance their participation in the elections. He said that democracy could be successful only if only all stakeholders, especially the young voters, participated in the poll process with full zeal and enthusiasm.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the administration was emphasizing to generate awareness amongst the masses regarding their voting rights so that people could exercise their right to franchise enthusiastically. He also said that the messages and slogans from famous artists were also being prepared by the administration to further disseminate them among the people especially youth through social media
