He emphasised the Hill Council&#8217;s ongoing efforts to boost sports infrastructure and provide necessary equipment for deserving athletes be it ice hockey or other sports.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Dr Akhoon encouraged the players to consider sports not just as a game, but as a potential career. He said the youth of Ladakh, both girls and boys, have talent to compete on at international level. He further urged the youth to maintain sportsmanship while playing.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">He announced Rs 20,000 for the winning team, Rs 15,000 for the runners-up and Rs 10,000 each for other top two teams through Youth Services and Sports Kargil for the purchase of sports equipment. Dr Akhoon assured continued support from the Hill Council for future initiatives.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">MP Ladakh, Mohmad Haneefa, also congratulated the winners and runners-up. He highlighted the hidden talent in Ladakh and called on political, social, and administrative bodies at UT and district levels to help prepare these talented youth for national and international platforms.
