Beneficiaries get sanction letters of various pensions, senior citizen cards in camp<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ludhiana, August 23, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

To help people avail the benefits of welfare schemes at their doorsteps, district administration on Friday organised a camp under \u201cSarkar Tuhade Dwar\u201d programme in Islamganj locality under Ludhiana Central assembly segment.<\/p>\n

The camp was inaugurated by MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi and Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney. They listened to people\u2019s grievances, and issues of immediate nature were solved on the spot.<\/p>\n

Several individuals had availed services related to various types of pensions, senior citizen card, SC certificate, Aadhar updation, and other services at the camp. Rita Rani of Tibba road, Shankar Lal of Prem Nagar, Parkash Kaur of Islam Ganj, Harvinder Kaur of Mundian Kalan, Vijay Batish of Mahajan Vihar Colony and Sudesh Kumari of New Manjit Nagar received sanction letters for old-age pension on the spot, while Om Parkash, Champa Devi, Hans Raj, Babu Lal, Kashmiri Lal, Bhagwani Devi and Suman Devi of Prem Nagar also got their senior citizen cards in the camp.<\/p>\n

MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi emphasised the importance of ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach people at the grassroots level, stating that public welfare is a top priority for the Punjab government-led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. The MLA highlighted the significance of programmes, such as Aam Aadmi Clinics, free electricity and pensions, and termed the Sarkar Tuhade Dwar programme a game-changer as it allows people to receive services at their doorsteps.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Sawhney underscored the state government\u2019s efforts in conducting special camps to ensure that the benefits of government services and schemes reach the masses. She stressed the importance of ensuring that all eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government social welfare schemes and directed full utilisation of all government welfare schemes at such camps. She added that more such camps will be held across the district as part of the \u201cSarkar Tuhade Dwar\u201d.<\/p>\n

During the camp, senior officials from different departments provided services to the people, and the MLA and DC interacted with the beneficiaries and also handed over the sanction letters.<\/p>\n
