Covid Update: Daily trend of Recoveries outpacing New Cases ensures continuous shedding of Active Caseload<\/span><\/h2>\n

New Delhi, November 19<\/p>\n

In the last 24 hours,\u00a045,576\u00a0<\/strong>persons were found to be infected with COVID in India.\u00a0<\/strong>During the same period, India has registered\u00a048,493\u00a0<\/strong>new recoveries ensuring a net reduction of 2917 cases from the Active Caseload.<\/p>\n

The new recoveries continue to overtake the daily new cases continuously since the past 47 days.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s active caseload\u00a0has fallen under the 5% mark today<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This trend of more daily recoveries than the daily cases has led to a continuous contraction of India\u2019s Active Caseload. It has ensured that India\u2019s present active caseload of\u00a04,43,303\u00a0<\/strong>consists of just\u00a04.95%<\/strong>\u00a0of India\u2019s Total Positive Cases.<\/p>\n

New Recoveries outnumbering the daily New Cases every 24-hour cycle has also improved the Recovery Rate to\u00a093.58%\u00a0<\/strong>today.\u00a0<\/strong>The total recovered cases stand at\u00a083,83,602<\/strong>. The gap between Recovered cases and Active cases that is steadily increasing presently stands at\u00a079,40,299<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

77.27%<\/strong>\u00a0of the new recovered cases are contributed by ten States\/UTs.<\/p>\n

With 7,066 persons recovering from COVID, Kerala saw the most number of recoveries.\u00a0Delhi registered another 6,901 daily recoveries while Maharashtra reported 6,608 new recoveries.<\/p>\n

Ten States\/UTs have contributed\u00a077.28%\u00a0<\/strong>of the new cases.<\/p>\n

Delhi reported 7,486 cases in the last 24 hours. Kerala recorded 6,419 new cases while Maharashtra registered 5,011 new cases yesterday.<\/p>\n

79.49%\u00a0<\/strong>of the\u00a0585\u00a0<\/strong>case fatalities that have been reported in the past 24 hours are from Ten States\/UTs.<\/p>\n

22.39%<\/strong>\u00a0of new fatalities reported are from Delhi which reported 131 deaths. Maharashtra also saw a three digit fatality count of 100 while West Bengal reported 54 new deaths.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
