Constitution Day celebrated by DLLLE, PU<\/h2>\n

Chandigarh, November 27<\/p>\n

The Department of Life Long Learning and Extension, Panjab University organised an online webinar to celebrate Constitutional Day.The faculty members, students, alumni members and staff members of Life Long Learning attended the webinar.<\/p>\n

Dr. Paramjit Singh Kang, Chairperson,elaborated the history of the making of the Constitution.\u00a0 He said the Constituent Assembly of India prepared this, one of the longest and most elaborate Constitution in about 2 years.\u00a0 The Constitution was completed by 26th<\/sup>\u00a0November, 1949 but to remember the importance of 26th<\/sup>\u00a0January 1929 it was not fully implemented on 26th<\/sup>\u00a0November 1949.\u00a0 But it was formally adopted on this date and some part of it was operational and it was fully implemented on 26th<\/sup>\u00a0January, 1950.\u00a0 It was declared as Republic Day which India celebrates every year with great pomp and show.<\/p>\n

Dr. Kang emphasised that all the rights, all the developments we the citizens of India are enjoying is because of this Constitution. All corona protocols were observed by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.<\/p>\n
