In a recent appointment, the Commission named Mr. Yog Raj, a retired Chief Engineer, as the Chairperson of the Corporate CGRF at Panchkula, under the jurisdiction of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (UHBVNL).<\/p>\n<p>This appointment has been made under Section 42(5) of the Electricity Act, 2003 and Regulation 2.4 of HERC Regulation No. HERC\/48\/2020. As per the official order, the tenure of the Chairperson is fixed for two years or until the age of 65, whichever is earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Under the structured three-tier CGRF system, consumer complaints are categorized by the amount in dispute as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Up to \u20b91 lakh \u2014 handled by 21 Circle-level CGRFs<\/p>\n<p>Between \u20b91 lakh and \u20b93 lakh \u2014 handled by four Zonal CGRFs<\/p>\n<p>Above \u20b93 lakh \u2014 handled by two Corporate CGRFs, located at Panchkula and Gurugram<\/p>\n<p>However, issues related to electricity theft, unauthorized load, and revenue loss fall outside the jurisdiction of CGRF. All other consumer grievances are eligible for redressal through this mechanism.<\/p>\n<p>If a consumer is dissatisfied with a CGRF order, they may file an appeal before the Electricity Ombudsman, Mr. R.K.
