BJP State Secretary Pawan Sharma today launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his repeated attempts to mislead the people of Jammu & Kashmir in the name of statehood. Sharma said that the Bharatiya Janata Party stands unequivocally for peace, progress, and prosperity of every citizen, not for the politics of fear, division, and dynastic survival that the National Conference continues to practice.<\/p>\n

\u201cOmar Abdullah and his party are trying to reignite outdated emotional issues to regain their lost relevance. The people of Jammu & Kashmir have rejected the politics of deception and dynasty. The era of entitlement is over \u2014 it\u2019s now the era of empowerment under Prime Minister Narendra Modi,\u201d Sharma asserted.<\/p>\n

He said that instead of acknowledging the massive transformation taking place in J&K \u2014 from record infrastructure growth to empowered grassroots democracy and restored peace, Omar Abdullah chooses to peddle frustration and negativity.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe BJP\u2019s focus is on building a new Jammu & Kashmir, one that is peaceful, self-reliant, and corruption-free. Our priority is roads, jobs, education, health, and investment \u2014 not hollow slogans that kept J&K backward for decades,\u201d Sharma said.<\/p>\n

Referring to the historic abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A, Sharma reminded that the move ended decades of discrimination and separatism, ensuring equality before law for every citizen. \u201cFor years, families like Abdullahs exploited so called special status to preserve their power. Today, when every youth of Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing equal opportunity, these dynasts feel threatened by real democracy,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n

Calling Omar Abdullah\u2019s renewed rhetoric on statehood a \u201cdesperate political stunt,\u201d Sharma said the BJP will not allow vested interests to derail the momentum of peace and development.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose who failed to deliver peace or jobs when in power now pretend to be champions of the people. The public has not forgotten who encouraged separatist tendencies and weakened the nationalist spirit in J&K. BJP\u2019s politics is not of power or privilege \u2014 it is of service, sacrifice, and nation-building,\u201d Sharma said firmly.<\/p>\n

Reiterating BJP\u2019s inclusive vision, Sharma stated that, \u201cLet there be absolute clarity \u2014 BJP stands for the unity, integrity, and holistic development of Jammu & Kashmir within the framework of the Indian Constitution. Under Prime Minister Modi, J&K is marching towards becoming a hub of peace, tourism, investment, and opportunity. No amount of political theatrics by dynastic leaders can stop that journey.\u201d<\/p>\n
