Meeting Organised On 03-12-2020 to Control Child Labour in Rajasthan<\/h2>\n

Jaipur, December 3<\/p>\n

A meeting to effectively check and control Child Labour in the State
\nwas organised today in RSLDC Seminar Hall, Jaipur which was chaired by Dr. Neeraj K. Pawan,
\nSecretary, Labour and Employment, Government Of Rajasthan. In the meeting, various
\ndepartments like Child Rights , Education, Child Welfare Committee etc. and related Non-
\nGovernmental Organisations&#39;s (NGO) representatives etc. along with officials of Labour
\ndepartments took active participation and deliberate upon Child Labour issue in Rajasthan.
\nIn the meeting all concerned departments were directed to take coordinated
\nand effective action to check and control child labour. In respect of which
\nPrateek Jhajharia, Labour Commissioner, Rajasthan suggested to develop a “Whatsapp Group”
\nat District level , comprised of Official from all concerned departments who are directly
\nresponsible for participating in pre rescue, during rescue and post rescue operations related to
\nchild labour and of NGO members etc. This suggestion was accepted and Secretary, Labour and
\nEmployment directed that this measure should be implemented on priority basis, so that
\nnecessary action on child labour complaint\/information can be taken promptly. The issue
\nrelated to inward and outward migration of child labour from and to the respective States
\n(Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Gujarat etc.) was decided to be raised at higher level with
\nrespective State Governments.
\nRelated departments were directed to ensure rehabilitation of released child labourers
\nas per existing rules. The District Education officer was directed to provide information, of
\nchildren who are continuously absent from schools for 30 days, when schools are in operation,
\nto the District Child Labour Nodal Officer. Along with this NGO representatives were told to
\nprovide accurate information related to child labour so that prompt and effective action can be
\ntaken. Child Right department officials were directed to check issue of Child Beggars with active
\nparticipation of NGOs.
\nDuring the course of meeting, Secretary directed the Dharampal Singh ,
\nDivisional Joint Labour Commissioner, Jaipur to take swift action , with coordination of
\nconcerned departments and NGOs etc., for the rescue of child labourers in Jaipur. In
\ncompliance of this direction, joint teams conducted rescue operations in various areas of Jaipur
\ncity which resulted in rescuing of 37 child labourers and filing of F.I.R&#39;s against the employers.
\nThe Divisional Joint Labour Commissioner, Jaipur assured of taking similar and continuous
\naction on rescue of Child labour in future also.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
