CEC Kargil takes stock of pace of progress of works under Capex Budget<\/b><\/h2>\n

Kargil, December 12<\/p>\n

Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan\u00a0reviewed the physical and financial\u00a0progress\u00a0registered under the annual District Capex Budget 2020-2021\u00a0during a\u00a0meeting\u00a0of the concerned officers here\u00a0today.<\/p>\n

Executive Councillor for\u00a0Cooperatives Aga Syed Mujtaba Mosavi,\u00a0Executive Councillor for\u00a0Works\u00a0Mubarak Shah Nagvi,\u00a0Executive Councillor for Rural Development and Zanskar Affairs Er Phunsog Tashi\u00a0, Executive Councillor for Health Muhammad Ali Chandan, Chief Executive Officer Kargil Development Authority (KDA) Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani, Divisional Forest Officer Sajid Sultan, Assistant Commissioner Development Ghulam Muhammad, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE, I&FC, SVD Sankoo, KDA and Mechanical Division Kargil, officers of Health, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry besides other concerned officers\u00a0were present in the meeting.
\nDuring the meeting, threadbare discussions and deliberations were held on the implementation of the decisions taken in the\u00a0Annual General Council meeting\u00a0held in April this year\u00a0and subsequent meetings held under the chairmanship of the CEC.
\nCEC\u00a0Khan\u00a0took sector wise review of the projects taken in hand by different departments under District Capex Budget.<\/p>\n

Reviewing the pace of progress achieved on different works under R&B Division 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0Kargil , it was informed that\u00a058% of works have been completed on 7 schemes under the Housing sector at a cost of Rs 405.84 lacs while work on 45 works under Transport and Communication and 38 works under Non Engineering Sector is under progress on which Rs 448.48 lacs and 249.84 lacs have been expended so far. It was further informed that out of the 168 tendered works, 130 works have been allotted for execution while 38 works are under different phases of tendering and allotment process.<\/p>\n

As regards to progress achieved on works under PHE Sector, it was given out that 21 works have been alloted for execution while 16 more works have been tendered.<\/p>\n

Under Power Sector, the meeting was informed that 90% of works on the creation of 100 KVA, 63 KVA, 53 KVA Sub Stations along with HT\/LT Network has been completed in different areas of the district.<\/p>\n

Regarding the status of progress achieved under Rural Development sector, it was informed that out of the total 69 works taken up for execution, work on 24 works is going on, 22 tendered while AA is awaited in case of 23 works.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, detailed review on the physical and financial progress achieved on different works under other Engineering anfd Non-Engineering sectors was also taken during the meeting.<\/p>\n

The CEC directed the sectoral heads and executing agencies to ensure the submission of action plan of the works being taken in hand by their departments and get the same approved by the LAHDC, Kargil well in advance before their execution on the ground. He also instructed all officers to nominate an officer\/official of their respective departments to coordinate the status of the preparation of tenders, DPRs, tendering process and other related aspects with the executing agencies.<\/p>\n

In order to ensure seamless monitoring of the status of the pace of physical and financial progress achieved on works under different sectors, the CEC instructed officers to submit the status of works on monthly basis without break.<\/p>\n

CEC Khan directed the engineers of I&FC to submit a detailed report regarding the status of Namlingthang Irrigation Canal. He also instructed the Executive Engineer PHE to submit a list of all domestic and commercial water connections.<\/p>\n

The CEC\u00a0directed officers to take concerted measures to further the pace of works and ensure their completion within the stipulated time\u00a0so that the targets are achieved in the best possible manner.\u00a0He called for optimal utilization of funds for developmental activities being executed by the respective departments.
\nCEC Khan\u00a0said that providing best governance and delivery of public services is the foremost priority of the\u00a0LAHDC Kargil and\u00a0exhorted upon the officers to work efficiently so as to make substantial changes at the grass-root level.<\/p>\n
