Vice Chancellor Panjab University approved committee recommendations regarding reopening of University Hostels<\/h2>\n

Chandigarh, February 20<\/p>\n

\u00a0Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University approved the following recommendations of the committee regarding reopening of University Hostels, PU, Chandigarh.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. As per the requirement of the different Regulatory Bodies such as AERB, DCI,\u00a0 PCI students of final semester of Medical Physics,\u00a0 Nuclear Medicine, MDS,\u00a0 M Pharmacy, who were earlier staying in the hostels be allowed to stay in the hostels w.e.f. 22.2.2021.<\/li>\n
  2. Ph.D Students, who were enrolled\/registered before lockdown i.e. 23.3.2020, be given hostel accommodation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The eligible residents will have to follow the following conditions:-<\/p>\n

    a)\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Covid-19 test is must for eligible residents, done within a week prior to joining hostel accommodation.<\/p>\n

    b)\u00a0 \u00a0 An undertaking will have to be submitted by the eligible residents to the Warden of the hostel forwarded through the concerned Chairperson of the Department that they will follow SOPs.<\/p>\n

    c)\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0All the residents are also advised to go through SOPs provided in the hostels and to adhere strictly.<\/p>\n

    d)\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Food will be served through tiffin (lunch box) on cash payment basis.\u00a0 Residents are advised to bring two tiffins to take precautions during the present situation of Covid-19.<\/p>\n

    e)\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Guests\/visitors entry is not allowed till further orders.<\/p>\n

    f)\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Minimum number of messes\/canteens will be opened and the residents have to collect their tiffin from Contractors.<\/p>\n

    g)\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Facilities of shops (barber\/beauty parlour, tailor, tuck-shops, washer man\/washer woman etc.) will not be provided for the time being till further orders.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
