The cumulative number of COVID vaccine doses administered in the country has nearly reached 12 Cr<\/strong><\/b> as part of the world\u2019s largest vaccination drive. 11,99,37,641\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>vaccine doses have been administered through 17,37,539 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. These include\u00a091,05,429\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>HCWs who have taken the 1st dose and\u00a056,70,818\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>HCWs who have taken the 2nd dose,\u00a01,11,44,069\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>FLWs (1st<\/sup>dose),\u00a054,08,572\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>FLWs (2nd<\/sup>dose), 4,49,35,011\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries and\u00a034,88,257\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries more than 60 years old and\u00a03,92,23,975\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>(1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose) and\u00a09,61,510\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>(2nd<\/sup> dose) beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Over 30 lakh vaccination doses were administered in the last 24 hours.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n

As on Day 91 of the vaccination drive (16th<\/sup>\u00a0April, 2021),\u00a030,04,544\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>vaccine doses were given. 22,96,008 beneficiaries were vaccinated across 37,817 sessions for 1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose and 7,08,536 beneficiaries received 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose of vaccine.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s daily new cases continue to rise.\u00a02,34,692\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>new cases were registered in the last 24 hours. 10 States including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan report 79.32%\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>of the new cases. Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new cases at 63,729. It is followed by Uttar Pradesh with 27,360 while Delhi reported 19,486 new cases. 16 states, as shown under, are displaying an upward trajectory in daily new cases.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s total Active Caseload has reached 16,79,740<\/strong><\/b>. It now comprises\u00a011.56%<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0of the country’s total Positive Cases. A net incline of\u00a01,09,997<\/strong><\/b> cases recorded from the total active caseload in the last 24 hours. The five States of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala cumulatively account for 65.02%<\/strong><\/b> of India\u2019s total Active Cases. Maharashtra alone accounts for 38.09% of the total active caseload of the country.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s cumulative recoveries stand at\u00a01,26,71,220<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0today. The National Recovery Rate is\u00a087.23%. <\/strong><\/b>1,23,354<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

1,341<\/strong><\/b> deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. Ten States account for 85.83%\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>of the new deaths. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (398). Delhi follows with 141 daily deaths.<\/p>\n
