The number of COVID vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed the landmark of 14 Cr\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>today as part of the world\u2019s largest vaccination drive. Cumulatively, 14,09,16,417\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>vaccine doses have been administered through 20,19,263 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. These include\u00a092,90,528\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>HCWs who have taken the 1st dose and\u00a059,95,634\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>HCWs who have taken the 2nd dose,\u00a01,19,50,251\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>FLWs (1st<\/sup>dose),\u00a062,90,491\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>FLWs (2nd<\/sup>dose), 4,96,55,753\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries and\u00a077,19,730\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries more than 60 years old and\u00a04,76,83,792\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>(1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose) and\u00a023,30,238\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>(2nd<\/sup> dose) beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

In another significant development, India has now become the fastest country in the world to cross the landmark of 14 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses. India achieved this feat in just 99 days. 8 states account for 58.83% of the cumulative doses given so far in the country. Over 25 lakh vaccination doses were administered in the last 24 hours. <\/strong><\/b>As on Day 99 of the vaccination drive (24th<\/sup>\u00a0April, 2021),\u00a025,36,612\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>vaccine doses were given.16,43,864 beneficiaries were vaccinated across 25,732 sessions for 1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose and 8,92,748 beneficiaries received 2nd<\/sup> dose of vaccine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

India\u2019s cumulative recoveries stand at 1,40,85,110<\/strong><\/b>. The National Recovery Rate is\u00a083.05%. <\/strong><\/b>2,17,113<\/strong><\/b> recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours. 10 states account for 81.73%\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>of the new recoveries.<\/p>\n

3,49,691\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>new cases were registered in the last 24 hours. Ten States including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka,Kerala,Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan report 74.53%\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>of the new cases.Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new cases at 67,160. It is followed by Uttar Pradesh with 37,944 while Karnataka reported 29,438 new cases. 12 states, as shown under, are displaying an upward trajectory in daily new cases. India\u2019s total Active Caseload has reached 26,82,751<\/strong><\/b>. It now comprises\u00a015.82%<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0of the country’s total Positive Cases. A net incline of\u00a01,29,811<\/strong><\/b> cases recorded from the total active caseload in the last 24 hours. The eight States of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Gujaratand Kerala cumulatively account for 69.94%<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0of India\u2019s total Active Cases.<\/p>\n

The National Mortality Rate has been falling and currently stands at 1.13%. <\/strong><\/b>2,767<\/strong><\/b> deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. 10 States account for 80.23%\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>of the new deaths. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (676). Delhi follows with 357 daily deaths<\/p>\n
