POONCH, APRIL 28<\/strong>: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today paid a surprise visit to Sub District Hospital Mendhar and took stock of the quality of health services, medical facilities being provided to the patients and COVID arrangements.<\/div>\n
The District Development Commissioner was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police, Vinod Kumar; Sub Divisional Magistrate Mendhar, Sahil Jandyal, and other concerned Officers of the Health Department.<\/div>\n
He inspected various sections of the hospital including emergency, operation theatre, labour ward and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients. He inquired about the availability of medicines and other facilities in the hospital. The District Development Commissioner also took stock of the COVID care facilities\/arrangements being put in place at SDH Mendhar.<\/div>\n
The District Development Commissioner directed the Block Medical Officer Mendhar for establishing a 100 bedded COVID care centre at SDH Mendhar.<\/div>\n
The District Development Commissioner also passed on the instruction of aggressive testing; as this would play a significant role in breaking the chain by isolating the positive patients.<\/div>\n
He also underlines the need for creating mass awareness in connection with the vaccination drive and directed the concerned health authorities for the hundred per cent vaccination of the targeted groups.<\/div>\n
While taking stock of the COVID testing arrangements at Bhimber Gali, the DDC applauded the efforts of the team and asked them to make sure that no one enters the district without getting tested. He asked them to work with added zeal and in close coordination so that the fight against the pandemic can be won.<\/div>\n
Later, in the evening the Deputy Commissioner also convened a meeting to review the implementation of the COVID-19 advisories and SoPs in the district.<\/div>\n
The Deputy Commissioner directed all the District Officers to implement the COVID -19 advisories in letter and spirit and book the person found violating the advisories in the District.<\/div>\n
