He also directed them to remain in preparedness for clearance of snow from the Kargil-Zanskar National Highway during the coming winter season either by engaging Mechanical Department Kargil or any other executing agency.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EC Tashi was informed that work on the Kargil-Zanskar National Highway has been divided into 8 phases, out of which 5 have been tendered and allotted to the contracting\u00a0agencies, adding the works will resume in near future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The meeting was further informed that land acquisition for the beautification and construction of highway and compensation is also under process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The officers concerned further informed the EC that formal handing over of
