In a landmark achievement, with the dedication and tireless effort of all the healthcare and frontline workers, India has recorded daily recoveries of more than 4 lakh COVID patients in a single day for the first time.<\/p>\n

4,22,436\u00a0<\/strong>recoveries\u00a0were registered in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Average Daily Recovery of more than 3,55,944 cases has been recorded in the last 14 days. The graph below depicts the Daily Recoveries in the last 14 days.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

2,63,533\u00a0<\/strong>new\u00a0cases were registered in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

The daily new COVID cases being registered in India are now less than 3 Lakhs consecutively for the second day. A net\u00a0decline\u00a0<\/strong>of 1,63,232 cases is recorded in the active caseload in the last 24 hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n

India\u2019s daily new cases trajectory and recovered cases is depicted below since 13th<\/sup>\u00a0March 2021.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

India\u2019s cumulative recoveries have reached\u00a02,15,96,512\u00a0<\/strong>today. The National Recovery Rate\u00a0has grown further to touch\u00a085.60%.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ten states account for\u00a075.77%\u00a0<\/strong>of the new recoveries.<\/p>\n

On the other front, India\u2019s total Active Caseload has decreased to\u00a033,53,765\u00a0<\/strong>today. It now\u00a0comprises\u00a013.29%\u00a0<\/strong>of the country’s total Positive Cases.<\/p>\n

8\u00a0<\/strong>States cumulatively account for\u00a069.01%<\/strong>\u00a0of India\u2019s total Active Cases.<\/p>\n

The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has reached nearly\u00a018.44 Cr<\/strong>\u00a0today under the Phase-3 of the nationwide Vaccination Drive.<\/p>\n

A total of\u00a018,44,53,149\u00a0<\/strong>vaccine doses have been administered through 26,87,638sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. These include\u00a096,59,441\u00a0<\/strong>HCWs who have taken the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose and\u00a066,52,389\u00a0<\/strong>HCWs who have taken the 2nd<\/sup>dose,\u00a01,45,00,303\u00a0<\/strong>FLWs (1st<\/sup>dose),\u00a082,17,075\u00a0<\/strong>FLWs (2nd<\/sup>dose),\u00a059,39,290\u00a0<\/strong>beneficiaries under 18-44 age group (1st<\/sup>dose),\u00a05,76,64,616\u00a0<\/strong>(1st<\/sup>dose) and\u00a092,43,104\u00a0<\/strong>(2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose) beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years.\u00a05,46,64,577\u00a0<\/strong>1st<\/sup>dose beneficiaries and\u00a01,79,12,354\u00a0<\/strong>2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries of more than 60 years old.<\/p>\n

Ten states account for\u00a066.70%<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0cumulative doses given so far in the country.<\/p>\n

6,69,884\u00a0<\/strong>beneficiaries of the age group 18-44 years received their first dose of COVID vaccine in the last 24 hours and cumulatively\u00a059,39,290\u00a0<\/strong>across 36 States\/UTs since the start of phase-3 of vaccination drive.<\/p>\n

As on Day-122 of the vaccination drive (17th<\/sup>\u00a0May, 2021), 15,10,418 vaccine doses were given. Across 14,447sessions, 12,67,201 beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose and 2,43,217 beneficiaries received their 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose of vaccine.<\/p>\n

Ten States reported\u00a074.54%\u00a0<\/strong>of the new cases in last 24 hours.\u00a0Karnataka\u00a0has reported the highest daily new cases at\u00a038,603,\u00a0followed by Tamil Nadu with 33,075 new cases.<\/p>\n

The National Mortality Rate currently stands at\u00a01.10%.<\/strong><\/p>\n

4,329\u00a0<\/strong>deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Ten States account for\u00a075.98%\u00a0<\/strong>of the new deaths. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (1000). Karnataka follows with 476 daily deaths.<\/p>\n

In addition, the foreign aid of relief materials continues to be swiftly cleared, apportioned and sent to States\/UTs to combat COVID-19.
