DELHI MAY 21, 2021:<\/strong><\/p>\n

India has achieved a new milestone in its vaccination drive as the cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has exceeded\u00a019 Cr (<\/strong>19,18,79,503)\u00a0<\/strong>today under the Phase-3 of the nationwide Vaccination Drive.<\/p>\n

A total of\u00a019,18,79,503\u00a0<\/strong>vaccine doses have been administered through 27,53,883 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. These include\u00a097,24,339\u00a0<\/strong>HCWs who have taken the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose and\u00a066,80,968\u00a0<\/strong>HCWs who have taken the 2nd<\/sup>dose,\u00a01,47,91,600\u00a0<\/strong>FLWs (1st<\/sup>dose),\u00a082,85,253\u00a0<\/strong>FLWs (2nd<\/sup>dose),\u00a086,04,498\u00a0<\/strong>beneficiaries under 18-44 age group (1st<\/sup>dose),\u00a05,98,35,256\u00a0<\/strong>(1st<\/sup>dose) and\u00a095,80,860\u00a0<\/strong>(2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose) beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years.5,62,45,627\u00a0<\/strong>1st<\/sup>dose beneficiaries and\u00a01,81,31,102\u00a0<\/strong>2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries of more than 60 years old.<\/p>\n

More than 20.61 Lakh tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.<\/strong>\u00a0With this achievement,\u00a0India again set a new record of the highest ever tests conducted in a single day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On another front, the daily positivity rate has declined to\u00a012.59%.<\/strong><\/p>\n

India\u2019s Daily Recoveries continue to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the eighth consecutive day.\u00a03,57,295\u00a0<\/strong>recoveries\u00a0were registered in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s cumulative recoveries have reached\u00a02,27,12,735\u00a0<\/strong>today. The National Recovery Rate\u00a0has grown further to touch\u00a087.25%.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ten states account for\u00a074.55%\u00a0<\/strong>of the new recoveries.<\/p>\n

In another positive development, India has recorded less than 3 lakh new cases for five consecutive days now.<\/p>\n

2,59,551 Daily\u00a0<\/strong>New Cases were registered in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Ten States reported\u00a076.66%\u00a0<\/strong>of thenew cases in last 24 hours.\u00a0Tamil Nadu\u00a0has reported the highest daily new cases at\u00a035,579,\u00a0followed by Kerala with 30,491new cases.<\/p>\n
