DELHI MAY 22, 2021:<\/strong><\/p>\n

With more than 20.66 Lakh tests conducted in the last 24 hours, India has again set a new record of highest tests conducted in a day.\u00a0<\/strong>This is also the fourth successive day of more than 20 lakh tests in India.<\/p>\n

The daily positivity rate has declined to\u00a012.45%.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cumulatively, 20,66,285 tests conducted in the last 24 hours in the country.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s Daily Recoveries continue to outnumberthe Daily New Cases for the ninth consecutive day.\u00a03,57,630<\/strong>recoveries\u00a0were registered in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s cumulative recoveries have reached\u00a02,30,70,365<\/strong>today. The National Recovery Rate\u00a0has grown further to touch\u00a087.76%.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ten states account for\u00a073.46%\u00a0<\/strong>of the new recoveries.<\/p>\n

In another positive development, India has recordedless than 3 lakh Daily New cases for six consecutive days now.<\/p>\n

2,57,299<\/strong>DailyNew Cases were registered in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Ten States reported\u00a078.12%\u00a0<\/strong>of thenew cases in last 24 hours.Tamil Naduhas reported the highest daily new cases at\u00a036,184,\u00a0followed by Karnataka with 32,218new cases.<\/p>\n

It now\u00a0comprises\u00a011.12%\u00a0<\/strong>of the country’s total Positive Cases.<\/p>\n

The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country exceeded\u00a019.33 Cr<\/strong>today under the Phase-3 of the nationwide Vaccination Drive.<\/p>\n

A total of\u00a019,33,72,819<\/strong>vaccine doses have been administered through 27,76,936sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today. These include\u00a097,38,148<\/strong>HCWs who have taken the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose and\u00a066,91,350<\/strong>HCWs who have taken the 2nd<\/sup>dose,\u00a01,48,70,081<\/strong>FLWs (1st<\/sup>dose),\u00a083,06,020<\/strong>FLWs (2nd<\/sup>dose),\u00a092,97,532<\/strong>beneficiaries under 18-44 age group (1st<\/sup>dose),6,02,11,957<\/strong>(1st<\/sup>dose) and\u00a096,84,295<\/strong>(2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose) beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years.5,63,83,760<\/strong>1st<\/sup>dose beneficiaries and\u00a01,81,89,676<\/strong>2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries of more than 60 years old.<\/p>\n
