He said that there are 1806 active patients in the district at present.<br \/>\nHe said that sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from Covid-19. He said that a total of 134 patients (113 new patients from district Ludhiana and 21 from other states\/districts) have tested positive in the last 24 hours.<br \/>\nHe further said that till date, a total of 1502032 samples have been taken, out of which a report of 1501794 samples have been received, of which 1404577 samples were found negative while reports of 238 samples were pending. He said that now, the total number of patients related to Ludhiana is 85921, while 11296 patients belong to other districts\/states.<br \/>\nHe said that unfortunately, 8 patients lost their lives today (5 from district Ludhiana while one each from districts Malerkotla, Bathinda and UT Chandigarh). Now, the total number of persons who lost their lives including 2054 people from Ludhiana and 1015 from other districts.<br \/>\nHe said that whenever the District Administration and Health Department Ludhiana finds out about any positive or suspected COVID 19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing.
