The villagers requested to construct the road bypassing Neyrags and Skumpata for the benefit of both the villages in the future.<br \/>\nTaking note of the issues, CEC Tashi Gyalson chaired a meeting with the officials of Project Vijayak, Border Roads Organisation, at the Council Secretariat Leh today. Commander, 16 Vijayak, D.N Dahat, Executive Engineer, Project Vijayak, B. Kishan, BDC Chairperson Singay Lalok, Stanzin Yangdol, and concerned village representatives led by Sarpanch and Nambardars of the concerned villages of the Singay Lalok region. SDM Khaltsi, Tanveer Ahmed, and Xen PWD Khaltsi, and Ghulam Nabi attended the meeting virtually.<br \/>\nCEC Gyalson highlighted the issues and demands of the villagers, including the need for a bridge at Sungru-Dho crossing the road towards Skumpata from Neyrags village. The village representatives informed the meeting that the villagers of Skumpata and Neyrags unanimously proposed the road connectivity of NPD in the said direction. They further stated that this would benefit the residents of Singay Lalok, especially the villages of Skumpata and Neyrags.<br \/>\nCommander Dahat updated CEC Gyalson on the progress of the said road construction in the region and stated that he would discuss the concern issues with their higher officials soon.
