RAMBAN, 28 JUNE,2021-<\/strong><\/div>\n
Amid Covid pandemic when the schools are finding it difficult to teach their students in virtual mode, the students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Chanderkot are enjoying the co-curricular activities besides their regular virtual classes.<\/div>\n
Almost all the 100 girl students of this residential school established under SMAGRA miss no chance to showcase their latent talent by pouring in their creativity on canvas by drawing paintings and making posters as a part of celebrations of different occasions.<\/div>\n
Be it International Day against Drug abuse, International Day of Yoga and other such occasions like World Environment Day, World Nursing Day, World Mothers\u2019 Day, World Fathers\u2019 Day the students participate in virtual mode activities. They also take part in occasional personality and brain development activities on-line.<\/div>\n
The students are taking their classes in all subjects thrice a day virtually through different social media Apps and Community classes.<\/div>\n
The late evening (7 PM to 9 PM) on-line classes are held for those left out students, who use cellphones of their fathers when they return from work in the evening and night (9 PM to 10 PM) classes are organised for those students, who either fail to attend their morning or day class due to one or the other reason.<\/div>\n
\u201cI am fully satisfied that even when the schools are closed due to lockdown, my daughter, like other students, has been getting individual attention from her teachers and getting a chance to exhibit her talent through various on-line co-curricular activities. Through on-line regular Parent-Teacher meetings we come to know about my child\u2019s progress, weaknesses and difficulties\u00a0 My other children studying in other government schools have not been getting this care and attention,\u201d said Veer Singh, father of Bhavna, VIth class, a resident of a remote village.<\/div>\n
