The Centre for IAS and Other Competitive Examinations, Panjab University, Chandigarh is beginning a new course on \u201cInterview Preparation and Personality Development\u201d w.e.f. 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0August, 2021 for a period of 1 month, informed Prof. Sonal Chawla, Director of the Centre.<\/p>\n

She further added that this Course shall help the students hone their Personality by emphasizing on\u00a0developing\u00a0their Communication and Interpersonal skills. These Soft-skills and techniques shall help them gain a competitive edge during Competitive Examinations, Placements and Job Interviews.<\/p>\n

She further elaborated that this Course\u00a0is specially curated for Students including Freshers and others who are currently pursuing courses and are keen on applying for jobs or higher Studies. It has been observed in general that our Students lack the Experience and Confidence of attending interviews. They are neither well aware of the Interview pattern and process nor are they prepared for it. They struggle to find out what to put-together, which subjects or skills hold significance for them, what are their strengths and weaknesses and how to harness and overcome them. They remain clueless about how to introduce themselves at the Interviews, about Resume Writing, about making the first Impression etc.<\/p>\n

So this Course\u00a0will assist and enable the students to\u00a0focus on\u00a0Carving a better Personality by understanding their strengths, skills and key selling points to tackle interviews with confidence. It shall help the students to apply best practice techniques for tackling interviews for jobs, apprenticeships, placements and other courses more effectively<\/p>\n

The Students shall be able to identify what questions they may be asked at interview, and how to approach answering different types of interview questions<\/p>\n

The Course has been split into 4 weeks\u00a0Layout majorly dwelling upon Personality Chiselling Techniques like Enhancing Communication Skills, Interview Skills, Group Discussions, Team Building, Self Introduction at the time of Interview, Resume Writing, Body Language, Building Self Confidence, Public Speaking, Leadership Styles. There will be Live Group Discussions and Mock Interviews towards the end of the course.\u00a0This course will help the students to be more efficient and well planned for the Interview preparation process.<\/p>\n
