Yashpal Garg, CEO, Chandigarh Housing Board, Sh. Vinod P. Kavle, Secretary IT and representatives of Deputy Commissioners of Panchkula & Mohali, Director, PGIMER, Director Principal, GMCH-32 & Director Health Services, GMSH-16 attended through Video Conferencing.<\/div>\n

WAR ROOM DIRECTIONS<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
1. Dr. Jagat Ram, Director PGIMER stated that they have 21 covid patients in PGIMER, out of which only one is from Chandigarh. He mentioned that there is some increase in number of covid patients being treated in PGIMER, which has increased from 9 to 21 in a week\u2019s time. 19 of these patients have associated diseases and comorbidities and only 02 patients without any comorbidity are there. He also mentioned that they have tested 59,808 samples since the beginning of July till date and the positivity rate is 0.2% for Chandigarh.\u00a0 He mentioned that there are 11 cases of Mucormycosis.\u00a0 He also informed that under sero-survey for paediatric cases of 6-18 years age group, 2,695 samples have been tested and results indicate that there are 67% children in sector areas, 75% in rural and 76% in colony areas have antibodies.\u00a0 The overall positivity rate comes to 72.7%.<\/div>\n
Director, PGIMER further informed that two oxygen plants of 1,000 Litre Per Minute (LPM) capacity each have already been set up and are functional now. He also told that genome sequencing facility has been started and initially 40 samples are being tested.<\/div>\n
Dr. Jasbinder Kaur, Director Principal, GMCH-32 stated that they have tested 28,973 covid samples since the last war room meeting on 20th July, 2021 and the positivity rate was found to be 0.17%.\u00a0 The positivity rate of RT-PCR tests was 0.35% but zero percent in case of RAT tests.\u00a0 She informed that 18,833 patients have consulted in the OPDs (physical \u2013 15,204, Tele \u2013 3,587 & 42 \u2013 e-sanjivni) since the last war room meeting.\u00a0 She further informed that 81 surgeries were performed in GMCH-32.\u00a0 She also mentioned that one 800 (LPM) capacity Oxygen plant has been donated to GMCH-32 by an NGO.\u00a0 This is in addition to the already existing oxygen plants and is likely to be made functional in a month\u2019s time. GMCH-32 has only one covid patient admitted, who belongs to Himachal Pradesh.<\/div>\n

Dr. Amandeep Kang, Director Health Services, GMSH-16 stated that 40,044 covid samples have been tested for the city since the last war room meeting on 20th July, 2021 and the positivity rate was 0.23% with overall recovery rate of 98.6% in the city. She mentioned that so far there has been no death due to covid in August, 2021.\u00a0 She also mentioned that 9,98,641 doses of vaccines have been administered in Chandigarh so far.\u00a0 Almost all the eligible population has been given 1st dose and 34.5% have been given 2nd dose.\u00a0 She further mentioned that sufficient vaccine stock is available in the city.<\/div>\n

\u00a02.\u00a0 Representative of Deputy Commissioner, Mohali stated that they have 55 active cases. Representative of Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula stated that they have 13 active cases and Deputy Commissioner, UT, Chandigarh stated that they have 43 active cases.<\/div>\n

3.\u00a0 After detailed discussions in the War Room, the following decisions were taken :-<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
(i) Night curfew is fully withdrawn, as has been done in the neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00a0(ii) All restaurants\/bars can remain open with 50% capacity from 08:00 AM to 12:00 Midnight.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
(iii)\u00a0 Public can visit the government offices in connection with their work between 12:00 Noon to 01:00 PM on all working days except Wednesdays & Fridays.\u00a0 The visitors must have been vaccinated with at least first dose or have negative RT-PCR report of the last 72 hours.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
(iv) Hockey, Football and Cricket Academies of Sports Department are allowed to function, by following all covid protocol and subject to the condition that all eligible players must have been vaccinated with at least first dose. As regards players under 18 years of age, consent of parents is required.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
(v) Restriction of 50% capacity of passengers for public transport is withdrawn.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
(vi) For marriages, social gatherings etc., only intimation and undertaking to adhere to covid protocols is required to be submitted to the concerned SDM, instead of permission.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
