Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has made determination the key mantra for achieving success. He said that the simultaneous and equal empowerment of all sections of society is essential for the holistic development of the nation. In line with this vision, the Madhya Pradesh government is working continuously in mission mode. To accelerate development, the state government has launched the Garib Kalyan Mission, Yuva Shakti Mission, Kisan Kalyan Mission, and Nari Shaktikaran Mission. Separate roadmaps have been prepared for each mission, and their effective implementation has already begun. Dr. Yadav shared that he has drawn inspiration from Prime Minister Shri Modi’s commitment to comprehensive national development. He expressed confidence that by empowering every section of society through mission-driven efforts, Madhya Pradesh will achieve new heights of progress.
Garib Kalyan Mission
The primary objective of the Garib Kalyan Mission is to strengthen social security measures for the poor, ensuring that deprived sections of society receive the necessary support during difficult times. The mission also aims to provide beneficiaries with access to schemes that address employment-related challenges, thereby promoting economic empowerment. By offering financial assistance to economically weaker and needy individuals, the mission seeks to enhance their economic stability. Additionally, efforts will be made to improve access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and housing, leading to an overall improvement in the standard of living for poor families.
The Garib Kalyan Mission is an innovative initiative launched by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, with the goal of empowering economically disadvantaged communities and ensuring that government schemes and essential services reach them efficiently and effectively.
Yuva Shakti Mission
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed confidence that the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission will serve as a success mantra for the empowerment of the youth in Madhya Pradesh. Launched on 12 January 2025, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a timeless source of inspiration for the youth, this mission aims to equip the younger generation with modern technologies, entrepreneurial skills, and advanced competencies in the field of sports.
The mission is designed to prepare the youth to excel in various competitions in an ever-changing world. Its ultimate goal is to nurture leadership qualities among young individuals, enabling them to become strong contenders in the global job market and inspiring them to become entrepreneurs who create jobs, rather than job seekers. The role of modern technology is pivotal in the effective implementation of the Yuva Shakti Mission. Online platforms have been launched to make skill development courses easily accessible and understandable for the youth. These facilities are being made equally available to young people in both rural and urban areas. Social media is also being utilized actively to ensure that information about the mission reaches every corner of the state. As a result, awareness and enthusiasm among the youth towards the mission are steadily growing, helping them to fully benefit from its opportunities.
Kisan Kalyan Mission
Agriculture and farmers form the backbone of the nation’s and the state’s economy. Recognizing this, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet approved the Krishak Kalyan Mission on 15 April. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the mission aims to ensure the prosperity of farmers and bring greater economic stability to the agriculture sector.The mission seeks to promote inclusive agriculture by encouraging crop diversification and supporting allied activities such as animal husbandry and fisheries. It will foster agriculture-based entrepreneurship by offering financial assistance and technical guidance to farmers. Special emphasis will be placed on integrating organic farming, animal husbandry, fisheries, and other agri-businesses with a market-oriented approach, ensuring better market access and promoting agri-entrepreneurship.To strengthen market linkages, the mission is also facilitating the development of e-commerce platforms and the organization of local fairs, enabling farmers to sell their produce directly and secure fair prices. Additionally, to ease the financial burden on farmers, the mission provides subsidies and grants for the purchase of seeds, fertilizers, and agricultural equipment. This support aims to reduce production costs and enhance farmers’ incomes.
Devi Ahilya Nari Shakti Mission
In the 300th birth anniversary year of Punya-Shloka Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai, the Devi Ahilya Bai Nari Sashaktikaran Mission was launched during a cabinet meeting held at her historic administrative center, Maheshwar. This mission has been crafted to enhance the socio-economic status of women in Madhya Pradesh and make them economically self-reliant. The primary objective of the mission is to promote gender equality by ensuring women have the same opportunities as men. As part of the initiative, women will receive vocational training focused on education and skill development, thereby increasing their employment potential and helping them achieve financial independence.
The mission will also encourage women entrepreneurship by providing essential resources, guidance, and financial support to help them start and successfully operate their own businesses. Additionally, to support the social empowerment of women, programs will be implemented to address gender-based issues such as domestic violence and dowry harassment. Through these efforts, the mission aims to build a more inclusive and equitable society in the state.
