Chandigarh, March 21 :- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has organised a citizen awareness session with Swachhata Ambassadors from 90 schools of Chandigarh at Rani Laxmi Bai Mahila Bhawan, Sector-38, here today.
The session was addressed by Mrs. Shalini Chetal, HCS, Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, who stressed on the of youth’s voice & feedback in improving Chandigarh’s performance in the Survekshan.
The attendees were informed about issues like segregation of waste, home composting, using Swachhata App, and searching public toilets on Google and the 3R Concept. It was followed by an interactive session with active participation from students and teachers. Various inputs were received on improving citizen engagement & the students acknowledged the efforts of Municipal Corporation for creating awareness.
