Chandigarh, April 20 – While taking a dig at Congress Government, Haryana Education Minister, Mr. Kanwarpal said that during the tenure of Congress government from 2007 to14, there were no admissions in private schools under 134-A, we had formulated these rules in 2015.
The Education Minister was interacting with the media persons at Press Club in Sector 27 here today after unveiling Shaheed Bhagat Singh Trophy in 38th All India Boys Under-18 Cricket League Championship to be organized by Haryana Sports Welfare Association.
He said that earlier 10 percent admissions of economically weaker section students were considered under 134-A in private schools and now the government has decided to increase it to 25 percent under RTE Act.
Students will be able to take Admissions in lst class. Under 134-A, the amount provided to private schools from classes VI to VIII has been increased from Rs 700 to Rs 900 and the amount has been increased from Rs 900 to 1100 from IX to XII. He further said that no dues of any private school are pending with the government. The union of private school had met him but no demand was raised by them. If anyone claims, the government will provide the money, he added.
