Corona infection is continuously decreasing in the state

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Corona infection is decreasing continuously in the state. New Corona cases in the state have come down by 6 thousand, while the weekly positivity rate of Corona in 20 districts has come down by 10 percent.
Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that ‘Mucormycosis’ Black Fungus disease should be tested and treated at the early stage in the state. Necessary equipment ‘Nasoendoscope’, injections and medicines should be made available for this. It should be given the shape of a mass movement. Black fungus should be checked by setting up camps and every patient should be treated. In this, services of private ENT specialists should also be availed. The disease should be diagnosed at the initial level and treatment should be started immediately.
Chief Minister Chouhan was holding a discussion with the members of Corona Control Core Group through video conferencing from his residence today and reviewing the condition and arrangements of Corona in the districts of the state. Members of Core group, ministers, officers, ministers in charge of districts and officers were present in the meeting.
Special presentation given on Black Fungus
A special presentation regarding black fungus disease was given by ENT Specialist Dr. S.P. Dubey in the meeting. It was informed that the disease reaches from the nose to the eye and from the eye to the brain. If it is stopped at the level of the nose, then the disease does not progress further.
Nasoendoscopy of Post Covid patients should be conducted
Dr. Dubey advised that ‘Nasoendoscopy’ of Post Covid patients should be conducted. If black fungus is found, they should be operated immediately and ‘Amphotericin B’ is injected, this disease will be cured completely. The price of ‘Amphotericin B’ injection ranges between Rs 5 to 7 thousand.
162 patients in five medical colleges
Chief Minister Chouhan spoke to experts from medical colleges of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Rewa about the arrangements related to this disease in the video conference. There are 50 patients of Black Fungus Mucormycosis Disease at Bhopal Medical College, 60 at Indore Medical College, 38 at Jabalpur Medical College, 5 at Gwalior Medical College and 9 patients at Rewa Medical College.
5921 new cases of Corona
As many as 5921 new patients of Corona have been reported in the state today and 11 thousand 513 patients have recovered. The number of active patients has been reduced to 88 thousand 983. The growth rate of the state is 1.1 percent and the weekly positivity rate is 12 percent. Today’s positivity rate is 9.1 percent.
Free treatment of 24 thousand 102 patients
As many as 24 thousand 102 Covid patients are being treated free of cost in the state. Of these, 16 thousand 165 are being treated in government hospitals, 2515 in contracted hospitals and 5422 in private hospitals under the Mukhya Mantri Covid Upchar Yojana. As of today, the government has spent Rs 4 crore 4 lakh 43 thousand on the treatment of patients under the Mukhya Mantri Covid Upchar Yojana.
Over 200 new cases reported in 5 districts and over 100 new cases in 12 districts
More than 200 new cases have been reported in 5 districts of the state while more than 100 new cases have surfaced in 12 districts. As many as 1307 new cases were reported in Indore, 657 in Bhopal, 421 in Jabalpur, 232 in Ujjain, 201 in Gwalior, 195 in Sagar, 190 in Ratlam, 170 in Rewa, 114 in Shivpuri, 113 in Narsinghpur, 106 in Sehore and 104 in Damoh.
Less than 10 percent positivity in 20 districts
In 20 districts including Hoshangabad, Dewas, Vidisha, Balaghat, Tikamgarh, Morena, Chhindwara, Chhatarpur, Sheopur, Mandla, Guna, Agar Malwa, Barwani, Ashoknagar, Jhabua, Niwari, Bhind, Khandwa, Burhanpur and Alirajpur the weekly positivity rate is less than 10 percent.
Generators and inverter should remain operational in hospitals
Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that to ensure that inverters or generators should remain operational in every hospital as power supply may be affected due to the impending ‘Tauktae’ cyclone in the country. The wheat procured at the wheat procurement centers should not remain open.
Effective implementation of Kill Corona campaign must
Chief Minister Chouhan directed that effective implementation of ‘Kill Corona campaign should be ensured to identify and treat every patient to overcome Corona. Also, the ‘Yoga se Nirog’ campaign and ‘Mein Corona Volunteer’ campaign should also be effective.
Ensure micro monitoring of oxygen plant installation
Chief Minister Chouhan directed that micro-monitoring of all the oxygen plants being set up in the state should be ensured and the work should be completed as soon as possible. Efforts should also be made to set up large oxygen plants. Presently 95 oxygen plants are being set up in the state.
All district must send list of children rendered destitute due to Covid
Chief Minister Chouhan directed that all districts should send a list of children who have lost their parents to Covid so that they can be provided immediate benefits of the scheme including Rs 5000 monthly pension and other facilities. The officer-in-charge said that there are 125 such children in Dhar district and 90 in Alirajpur.
